As you well know, there is no 'almost' in my story. We did have one on the side of the road. With it being our first, we lacked some of the clarity and knowledge that comes with having experienced child birth before, but honestly, I love that part of Matthew's story ... and he is oddly proud of the fact that he was born at Target. And like Heather, Burke and I were both pretty set on a home birth for our second, because as much as the first birth is a great story to tell, having the next one at home was MUCH more comfortable! Love this - and pretty much all of your posts! You are so very blessed to have this job, and your clients are as well!

We almost had one on the side of the road. The apprentice commented that she thought that Jesus probably helped hold her in :-) Because of this, dh was a very staunch supporter of having the next one at home so that we wouldn't risk a "drive by delivery" ;-) I love how you get to be involved with all these new lives entering the world.
